Hi Folks,
Today the California State Senate and Constitutional Amendments Committee will be holding an informational hearing on the topic of ballot curing.
I will be testifying on behalf of the California Voter Foundation and have made my testimony available on CVF's web site. My slide presentation will be added after the hearing to CVF's Advocacy and Testimony page, along with a link to the livestream recording.
You can access the full agenda and backgrounder document and testimony from other witnesses via the committee's web site, and watch the hearing live online when it starts at 1:30 pm via the Senate's Calendar.
I'm looking forward to sharing CVF's work over the past two decades to reduce ballot rejection and provide suggestions for how to further reduce rejection and increase voter enfranchisement.
A number of other witnesses will be testifying as well, including representatives from counties, the Secretary of State's office, Asian Law Caucus, the Center for Inclusive Democracy and political attorneys. I hope you can tune in or check it out later.
